7 tips to prevent Gum Infections



1.     Do not smoke or avoid it at all costs. Smoking leads to serious gym diseases.
2.     Try and rinse your mouth after meals; or at the most drink a glass of water.
3.     Brush daily. It is very important that the teeth are cleaned thrice in a day to avoid plaque-a sticky, colourless film that develops on the teeth.
4.     Following a healthy diet is a key factor to ensure healthy gums.
5.     It is important to get enough exercise as well to ensure healthy gums
6.     Clenching or grinding of the teeth can cause un-necessary pressure upon the teeth; damaging the periodontal tissues which leads to gum infections and diseases.

7.     Stress is major factor leading towards periodontal disease. (gum infection) Stress makes it even more difficult for the body to fight off, or ward off infections- especially periodontal diseases.
